Welcome back to our UNWRAP website! We’re excited to share highlights from this year’s festival. It’s been a year of growth as we explored new topics, launched new projects, and connected people across industries. For the first time, we extended the festival with Music Innovation Day. Here are the key moments from UNWRAP 2024:
This year, UNWRAP Play Day was bigger than ever! We doubled the devices and games, bringing in over 2,200 visitors of all ages. Attendees had the chance to try out new games, revisit classics, and dive into interactive experiences. It was a day full of energy, fun, and gaming excitement!
We opened the main stage at 10 a.m. to a crowd eager to learn. Arno Schmitz from Guerilla Studio kicked things off, followed by a day packed with talks on art, animation, VFX, and more. Experts shared valuable insights, and we wrapped up with a portfolio review panel to help attendees elevate their work.
The first Industry Day focused on connecting students and professionals. We introduced the MeetToMatch platform for easy scheduling of meetings, helping students connect with companies for internships and jobs. The Career Fair was buzzing with opportunities, and in the evening, the Launch Party spotlighted Belgian games released this year, followed by an unforgettable Afterparty.
The second day of the Career Fair continued with more companies and students connecting. Alongside this, we had more talks and workshops exploring trends in the creative industries, providing insights into the latest tech, art, and industry developments.
We introduced UNWRAP Music Innovation Day, where music and tech came together in exciting ways. From live performances to panels and workshops, attendees explored how technology is reshaping the music industry. It was a day of creativity, collaboration, and innovation.
