Following 3 successful editions of the UNWRAP festival and 15 fantastic editions of the Sonic City festival, the organizers are joining forces to devise a collaborative program for both professionals and enthusiasts of music, games, media, and film. From November 3 to 11, UNWRAP and Sonic City will provide a week filled with inspiration, experiences, and networking.
This merger is the first step in our pursuit of yearly growth, with the aim to put Kortrijk on the international map as a leading region within the entertainment industry. As Kortrijk Weide is brimming with international talent for the entertainment industry, it’s our goal to leverage the potential of our game, music, film, and media industries while uncovering the untapped possibilities of their crossovers. And there’s no better way to stimulate this than by building bridges between professionals within the overlapping industries found at UNWRAP and Sonic City.
By programming UNWRAP and Sonic City back-to-back, we create interaction and spark cross-pollination between the different industries, music lovers, and the inhabitants of Kortrijk, nurturing the thriving local Kortrijk ecosystem.
